  • 500-backed fintech platform Kredivo announced a strategic partnership with airline company AirAsia, allowing travelers to choose Kredivo as a payment method for flight tickets.
  • Amid the potential regrowth of the tourism industry, the partnership is expected to make it easier for travelers to purchase affordable flights with an easy, safe, and fast installment payment option.
  • With Kredivo’s AI capability, users get instant approval and 2-click checkout features. Customers can choose from 30-day or 3-month installments with 0% interest or 6- and 12-month installments at 2.6% interest per month.

Aiming high

  • “Adoption of digital payments and online buying are a norm now in Indonesia,” said Krishnan Menon, co-founder and CEO of 500-backed BukuKas.
  • Meanwhile, only 27% of adults have formal bank accounts and less than 33% of SMEs have access to loans and lines of credit, he added.
  • According to the startup, it has onboarded 6.3 million businesses and has 3 million monthly active users as of May 2021. It also claimed that its annualized book-keeping transaction volume is US$25.9 billion.
  • Krishnan shared that BukuKas aims to serve more than 20 million SMEs in the region by the end of 2022.

  • 500-backed cybersecurity startup Horangi has partnered with Huawei Cloud to provide cloud security solutions for organizations on the cloud platform in the Asia Pacific. The partnership is expected to benefit fast-growing digital organizations across 10 countries in the region.
  • According to Horangi, Warden is an all-in-one security solution that can be set up within minutes. The platform can detect and fix security threats in real-time.
  • “Warden’s proven track record in Asia Pacific and unique ability to consistently meet security requirements in a manner compliant with regional regulations was key in Horangi’s selection as one of the preferred security partners for Huawei Cloud,” said a representative at Huawei Cloud.
  • Under the partnership, the companies will collaborate to establish best-in-class security measures and cloud visibility for organizations that use cloud solutions.
