Mobility for better health & wealth

  • What comes to mind when you think of transportation? A vehicle that gets you from Point A to Point B? For 500-backed mobility company Neuron Mobility, it’s an engine for prosperity!
  • Their iconic orange e-scooters are known to be environmentally-friendly, but Neuron’s Australia Prosperity Report revealed that they also led to AUD$448M in economic activity in Australia in 2021 and 2022!
  • How are their e-scooters boosting Australia’s economy exactly? Well, by making it easier to move around the city — especially in areas that are difficult to get to by car or not well-served by public transportation — riders are spending more on general shopping, dining and entertainment in cities.
  • In fact, let’s have a look at some of the interesting insights Neuron gathered from users in a survey:
    • 10% of trips would not have happened if a Neuron e-scooter was unavailable
    • 66% of trips result in a direct purchase from a local business
    • AUD$65 is spent at local businesses by Neuron riders per e-scooter trip
    • AUD$70,000 is spent at local businesses each year by Neuron riders per e-scooter deployed
    • 20% of trips support the night-time economy — an important benefit for workers like doctors and nurses on the night shift who now can enjoy greater mobility when public transportation is not available
    • 46% of trips replace a car journey
  • E-scooters also help minimize disruption to the community during large-scale events like the Australian Grand Prix and the AFL Grand Final by absorbing some of the extra demand for transportation.
  • It’s no wonder that 95% of Neuron riders believe the company has made a positive impact in their city.
