Exclusively for the Web3 curious

  • Ever thought buying an NFT (non-fungible tokens) could pay for your college tuition fees? 500-backed edtech platform Nas Academy has partnered with Web3 e-learning site Invisible College to create an online Web3 learning library. Instead of charging tuition, Invisible College provides access through a collection of 10,000 Decentralien NFTs.
  • To unlock courses, learners simply purchase a Decentralien NFT, which is currently worth US$291 on NFT marketplace Magic Eden to get free access to the courses, events, and community.
  • So wait — does this mean the courses are not free? Well, here’s the cool part: learners can sell their NFTs after completing a course, which the company shares would effectively reimburse their tuition fees!
  • This new way of learning will be available starting September 1! Learners get to join group classes, interactive sessions, and Zoom meetups as part of their course.
  • Nas Academy CEO Nuseir Yassin said, “Web3 is more than just a compelling topic for courses. We believe NFTs can reinvent the way students consume online education and allow people to own a piece of the internet. That’s why we wanted to partner with a visionary community in the form of Invisible College. We are excited to build together to help educate and bring the next wave of users into web3.”
