Microlearning in action

  • Creators looking to level up on educational content production, look no further. 500-backed edtech startup Gnowbe announced US$10 million in scholarships for training and certification in a digital skill that is in high demand – Microlearning Instructional Design (MID).
  • It is the art and science of creating bite-sized, social, e-learning experiences leveraging storytelling, gamification, and behavior.
  • Why is this important? “People want meaningful engagement with the content that’s most relevant to them,” said So-Young Kang, CEO of Gnowbe.
  • The startup believes that with people increasingly seeking out educational content in mobile formats, this new capability will empower creators to design more engaging and effective multimedia learning experiences for their learners.

  • The marketplace is set to merge with Property24, an online property portal. “This will provide an effective online platform for leading real estate developers, agencies, and brokers to help them showcase their property listings to a wider audience of qualified prospective buyers, including the 4.62 million monthly visitors on Carousell,” Djon said.
  • He also spoke of Carousell’s recent partnership with Premium Warranty Services Philippines, Inc. (PWSPI) to launch the Carousell Autos Inspected and Warranty program.
  • As of February 2022, over 6,000 cars are listed on the platform, and Carousell wants to provide buyers of second-hand cars with confidence and peace of mind.
